The Canadian Appaloosa JackpotThe Canadian Appaloosa Jackpot for 2011
Appaloosa Owners:
I want to tell you about the Canadian Appaloosa Jackpot that will be held as a part of our SAHC Thanksgiving Horse Show this year. The old Canadian Bred Appaloosa Futurity has undergone a few changes including the name change. In order to attract a larger number of horses we have decided to open it up to all registered horses (ApHCC or ApHC ) and call it a Jackpot instead of a Futurity. This means that we will pay out all entry monies, except for 10% that we will use for advertising, plus any added funds we receive from sponsors. We hope that this move will bring about increased entries at our show and a general growth to our club. All breed shows are suffering with lower numbers and any increase in this area will help to keep our club strong through these difficult times. The SAHC hopes that you as a member will see the wisdom of this change and support us in any way you can. If you would be able to act as a sponsor, please contact any one of our Board members as soon as possible.
The rules and entry forms are enclosed and are on our website as well. Please note the changes for the 2011 competition. If you do enter I would ask you to call me after a few days to confirm that your entry did arrive.
I thank you for your continued support of the Saskatchewan Appaloosa Club.
Sincerely,
Karen Bedford
